For Immediate Release

Accra, Ghana – October 24, 2024 –  As part of its 5th-anniversary celebration, Erama Medical Center, the leading hospital in preventive medicine in Ghana, is strengthening its

commitment to holistic well-being by focusing on mental health. This initiative, hosted by Ephecare International, the newest member of the EramaNor Group of companies, seeks

to raise awareness about workplace stress and mental health challenges. In collaboration with Mentapulse Africa and the Tema West District Health Directorate, the campaign

culminates in a free webinar titled “Techniques to Master Your Stress at Work” on Wednesday, October 30th, 2024, at 12 PM.

This event is an opportunity to discuss the often-overlooked impact of workplace stress on mental health and productivity. It will outline practical tools to help participants identify and

manage stress effectively, ensuring a healthier, more efficient work environment. About the Webinar: “Techniques to Master Your Stress at Work” The webinar will feature expert insights on stress management, focusing on prevention, mental health in the workplace, and how unresolved stress can contribute to chronic diseases. It reflects Erama Medical Center’s ongoing mission to deliver superior medical management outcomes, especially in preventive health and non-communicable diseases.

The webinar is also a unique chance for attendees to learn about Erama Medical Center’s integrated health services, from its well-established Hypertension and Diabetic Clinic to its specialized Antenatal and Delivery services that is coupled with dietitian consultations and physiotherapy—all aimed at providing client-centered and outcome- focussed care.

Partnership and Support Erama Medical Center’s preventive health focus has consistently driven collaborations with the Tema West District Health Directorate, led by Dr. Mercy Obrempong-Wusu. Over the years, our collective campaigns such as stroke prevention, and gut health that have led to the establishment of Hypertension and Diabetes Clinics and gut health services through the launch of “Happy Milk” by Eramanna Diets and Foods, another Eramanor group member, have all showcased the hospital’s commitment to improving health outcomes in Ghana.

This year, our focus on mental health, with an emphasis on suicide prevention, is in partnership with MentalPulse Ghana and Weinglo Family International, an NGO dedicated to suicide prevention. Donations from the public will directly support educational initiatives and awareness campaigns related to mental health, enhance the accessibility of mental health services, and bolster suicide prevention efforts through the valuable work of Weinglo Family International. Your contributions will play a crucial role in fostering a healthier community by promoting understanding and providing essential resources for those in need. Weinglo Family International is committed to suicide prevention in Ghana, offering essential support for individuals in crisis while raising awareness about mental health issues. Their community outreach and workshops have educated thousands on recognizing mental health struggles, contributing to a 30% increase in individuals seeking mental health services. By supporting Weinglo Family International, donors play a crucial role in expanding these vital programs and saving lives.
